Wow! It's been a while! Sorry about that! Things have been crazy since Christmas. The babies are crawling so fast we spend all of our time chasing them--you would think maybe we'd lose a pound or two, but no such luck! This picture is the two of them in January, at their cousin Terra's 2nd birthday party at the Little Gym. They LOVED it!

Matthew has 6 teeth, and is working on a few more, while Rachel has just one lonely tooth poking through. Based on her sleeplessness lately, I'm betting there are a few more where that one came from!

They are pulling themselves up, and can walk while pushing a toy in front of them--they don't quite have the balance to go it alone yet. In this picture, they're getting ready to go to Aunt Kelly's for the day.

Here is their first bath in the tub (that's Rachel on the left). They love the water! That is, until I pour it on their heads to wash out the shampoo.

Other than that, both babies are babbling like crazy (Rachel says "ba" and "da-do". "Ba" means ball and bottle, depending on which one she can see. "Da-do" means daddy, doll, Dora, and anything that resembles a dog, including Shana, our cat) No ma-ma yet. Harumph. Rachel also has a bizarre sense of humor (can you imagine that, with Kris & me for parents?) She thinks it's hilarious to look at the world upside down--so she often sits in the middle of the floor & bends over backwards to look behind her. Matthew thinks it's hilarious to get tickled & to hit his sister in the head with a plastic baseball bat. Good times.

We've been to see the doctor quite a bit lately. First for ear infections, and then for sinus infections. When Rachel was on her second round of antibiotics, we discovered she is allergic to amoxycilin--she blew up in hives and pimples. It was more awful for us than for her, since she didn't seem to suffer too much. At our last checkup, Matthew weighed about 24 pounds, and Rachel weighed about 18 1/2.

Here's our last snow day of the year--I finally got to sled in our back yard! That's my neighbor Eric, my niece Daryan, Kris & Patrick sledding in this picture.

The school year is winding down for Kris & me. We've both been busy with awards ceremonies for our students & doing all of the end of the year stuff that seems to have happened WAY too quickly!

We're planning the babies' birthday party for May 16--they turn 1 year old on the 19th! Hard to believe. I know my New Year's Resolution was to keep up with this better, and I've been worse! I'm so sorry!
